An invitation to a Journey
:We've embarked on a two-year “purposeful” journey of faith. The purpose of the journey is to discover how we as a congregation can continue to be fruitful and faithful to the call of God in the years ahead.
Two big events in June will kick off the Journey. First, a time for spiritual discernment using a six session bible study titled “Behold: There is a New Creation”. Materials for the study will be available on June 12 and we hope everyone who is part of our worshipping congregation, member or not to participate. The other event is a conference or celebration of our past. This will be held in conjunction with the Ice Cream social on the evening of June 26th. During the conference we will celebrate our life together as we look back at the ways God has faithfully led us in the past decades. We have an exciting summer ahead as we listen for God’s call both personally and as a church. Please join us on the journey!
Behold: There is a New Creation:
This is a six session Bible study which we would like for everyone in the congregation to participate in; it doesn't matter whether your are a member of the church or not. Ideally this study will be used to bring study partners together who might not usually see each other outside of the Sunday worship service. It's a great way to get to know other people in your church. Individuals may group together, or Couples may group together with other couples.
I've created a list of currently paired partners to assist you to see who is already working on the study. If you aren't comfortable asking someone else and would like a partner, send me an email and I'll put you in touch with our coordinators to help you find a partner.
